How to find Chestnuts Cottage

Rushall lies four miles south west of Pewsey, ten miles north of Amesbury and twelve miles south of Marlborough in Wiltshire.

From Amesbury on the A303.

Take the A345 north towards Devizes. After nine miles, just before Upavon, take left fork, signposted Rushall(A342), After one mile turn right at the crossroads in Rushall by the stocks. Church lane is marked by a pair of stout posts bearing the sign ‘Quiet Lane’ and carrying a small ‘church’ sign. Chestnuts Cottage is fifty yards down on the left hand side.

From Marlborough/Pewsey.

Take the A345 to Pewsey. In Pewsey, continue straight ahead at King Alfred’s statue, following the A345 to Salisbury. After three miles , continue straight ahead at the roundabout by the Woodbridge Inn, signed Rushall. Entering Rushall after ¾ mile, continue through the village to the crossroads at the southerly end, turn left by the stocks into Church Lane. Chestnuts Cottage is fifty yards down on the left hand side.

From M4, Junction 14 at Hungerford.

Follow the A338 south through Hungerford to Burbage. Go straight ahead at the roundabout onto the B3087, signposted Pewsey. In Pewsey turn left at King Alfred's statue and follow the A345(see above from Pewsey)

From M3/A303 at Andover.

Turn off A303 at the Weyhill exit, west Andover, onto the A342, signed to Devizes and Marlborough. Go through Ludgershall and Everleigh on the A342 to Upavon, and continue to Rushall(see above from Amesbury).
